County Pumps

About Us

CountyPumps started in a garage workshop in North Oxfordshire, with two Petroleum Engineers; determined to start a thriving business of their own. The first records show the very high standards used to recondition and rebuild their commercial pumps and how the two engineers were willing often to work without pay during the difficult first few months.

From the beginning, CountyPumps has gone from strength to strength, gaining a reputation for high quality workmanship and sound, impartial advice for their customers. The well-trained, professional team of engineers, sales and administration staff is regarded of paramount importance, and with a third of the staff having worked for the company for more than ten years, a sense of a family business pervades.

Regular staff meetings ensure good communication within CountyPumps and allow’s an exchange of ideas for development and growth.

CountyPumps continues to be independent, remaining unaffiliated to any particular manufacturer and thus being able to recommend and provide the best possible product or application for the customer's individual needs.

A nationwide service is provided in the supply, installation and maintenance of most commercial diesel, petrol, gas oil pumps and tanks. In conjunction, additional work can be offered to include tank testing, electronic tank gauging, overfill valves, spill kits, ad-blue facilities and all equipment and advice to ensure environmental regulations are being followed. One of our biggest achievements has been the emergency breakdown service, with a response within twenty-four hours, anywhere in the United Kingdom. Method Statements, Risk Assessments and reports are now all a routine part of procedures and regular courses on new legislation and their implementation are an integral part of staff training. Many of the most prestigious distribution and haulage companies now use CountyPumps' services, together with local Councils, Fire and Rescue Services and Bus Companies.

The vast majority of the group customers use the benefits of the preventative maintenance program, with planned routine service visits, written reports and a preferential response to breakdown requests. Their equipment is ensured a longer more productive life and with the site details kept, CountyPumps office staff can give informed advice and information.

Thirty years has seen many, many changes within the company and the industry; and undoubtedly the next thirty will see many more. Of one thing we can be sure, CountyPumps will be celebrating then as they are now.
