County Pumps recently installed a new 2500 litre gas-oil tank, associated pipework and pump at McLaughlin & Harveys, Stoke-On-Trent depot.

The unit was installed to allow fuel transfers into two 400 litre generator day tanks. All day tanks were fitted with overfill alarms and isolation valving.

The depot were previously using drums and hand pumps with an evident Health and Safety risk.

The new system transfers the gas-oil without any manual handling required thus Reducing down time and hazards.

The site have also achieved substantial cost savings when purchasing the gas-oil.
