County Pumps was established in 1977 by two Petroleum Engineers determined to start a thriving business of their own. Set in a central location in North Oxfordshire, they set themselves very high standards, looking to offer a quality nationwide service on a full range of commercial refuelling equipment.
Starting out, pumps were bought in and reconditioned to meet customer demands and a quality breakdown response was established. An excellent reputation for the levels of service was achieved and with an ever increasing customer database, careful expansion was made to larger office and workshop premises. Employing more staff, a high quality team of well trained professional engineers, sales and administrative staff form part of today’s company.
County Pumps remains privately owned, with one of the original engineers still the majority shareholder. It continues to remain unaffiliated to any particular manufacturer, offering the best product available for individual customer site needs. Excellent relationships have been formed in the industry and County Pumps are pleased to be named as approved distributors and installers for many of the leading UK pump manufacturers. The ‘install and forget’ attitude is never a consideration for County Pumps. Always looking to the future, we consider any new customer to be the start of a long-standing partnership.
We are pleased to have a number of large blue chip companies on our customer database, with some long-standing contracts continuing for over 25 years. We appreciate the importance of keeping their vehicles on the road and continue to react and maintain equipment to their individual site needs. They have complete satisfaction that any call will be dealt with efficiently to give quality service at competitive prices.
Comprehensive records are compiled for each site we cover, with photo images and technical data on all the pumps, tanks and pipework fitted, even down to hose lengths and nozzle types for each site.
